I would say that the dress fits as I expected it to. It's exactly the length I wanted. I got an XL because I'm tall (5'10) and most things aren't American sizes. Overall I really like this dress but I took one star away because the shoulder parts of the dress keep falling off. Because of the square shape of the dress and how low the back is, you really can't wear a bra. Every time I'd turn or get up from a chair, one of the shoulders would fall down. Not sure if it is because of it being an XL .
